JOIN IN OUR ACTIVITIES

Join in the operation of Yacht Eugenia either on board or in maintaining the ship, or even in doing supportive administrative work.

The actual activities primarily take place during the warm and ice-free time of the year when the yacht is available for sailing and maintenance. The start of the season consists of maintenance work with possible repair work needed after winter storage, rigging of the yacht and preparations for the sailing season. From the middle of May to the end of September the yacht’s sailing voyages consist of school and youth sailings, public sailings, and charter sailings of different kinds. When autumn draws near, the yacht undergoes needed maintenance work and is prepared for winter storage at the Kalkholmen pier in Västanfjärd. During the winter months, the work consists of planning and marketing for the next season which includes a fair amount of administrative work.

Today there are about thirty active volunteers engaged in the operation of the yacht, but we continuously need more and new resources to be able to pass on the history and knowledge regarding
